Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist, Pediatrics (RT PEDS) Concord, Massachusetts. The respiratory care professional provides a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services for inpatients and outpatients of all ages. Responsibilities include evaluating and reassessing patients, performing respiratory care procedures in accordance with established policies, and assisting with therapeutic modalities. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 7:00p7:30a, 36 hours per week; every other weekend; rotating holidays.
- Required Qualifications: Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Respiratory Therapist; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; high school graduate or equivalent; graduate of a Respiratory Therapy (RT) program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous Registered Therapist (RT) experience; previous patient care experience; appropriate clinical rotations during the RT program are considered as satisfactory experience.
- Additional Information: Participates in Code Team and Rapid Response Team; provides patient and family education; participates in continuing quality improvement (CQI) initiatives; participates in departmental education activities; transports patients; assists with special projects, equipment, and stock inventory control; maintains and supports patients rights to care, privacy, and respect.
