Assignment Details

- Term: 13-Week Long Term Assignment (LTA) / Travel Contract
- Shift: 8-Hour Days | 08:00 – 17:30 (Monday – Friday)
- Hours: 40 hours per week (Guaranteed)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proven leader for a 13-week assignment as the Director of Pulmonary Services. This administrative and clinical leadership role is responsible for the strategic planning, direction, and operational management of multiple specialty departments, including Respiratory Care, the PFT Lab, the Blood Gas Lab, the Sleep Lab, and Cardiopulmonary Rehab.
Key Responsibilities & Leadership Scope
- Department Oversight: Manage and direct all daily operations of the cardiopulmonary service lines across multiple campus sites, supervising approximately 32 FTEs.
- Compliance & Accreditation: Ensure strict departmental compliance with JCAHO and CAP standards, as well as guidelines set forth by OSHA, the CDC, and the Department of Public Health (DPH).
- Multi-Site Coordination: Oversee services across three local campuses, requiring the ability to travel locally between sites as needed.
- Quality Improvement: Manage budgets, evaluate staff performance, direct quality improvement protocols, and ensure effective and safe utilization of medical resources.
Position Requirements
Licensure & Certifications
- State Licensure: Active Registered Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Massachusetts is required.
- Registries: National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is required.
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is highly preferred.
Education & Experience
- Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Respiratory Care. A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is highly preferred.
- Clinical & Administrative Background: Strong prior supervisory or director-level leadership experience is required.
- Specialized Expertise: Must have robust experience across Acute Care, Critical Care, Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT), Blood Gas Accreditation, Polysomnography (Sleep), Rehab, and EEGs.
- Neonatal Care: Foundational knowledge of Neonatal Respiratory Care is preferred.
