Description
Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS), Nights Birmingham, Alabama. The organization is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care in an acute care, adult-focused environment during the overnight shift. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM; 36 hours per week minimum
- Required Qualifications:
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Credential in either Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Acute care experience in a larger Health Care Facility
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Night shift experience in a facility staffed with 4+ respiratory therapists per shift
- Role/Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory therapy services for a neuro and cardiac patient mix
- Maintain strong time management and quality-focused performance
- Support coverage across main adult units and occasional backup staffing for a free-standing emergency setting
- Additional Information:
- Equipment may include Servo I ventilators, V60, Vapotherm, and RapidPoint for arterial blood gas testing (ABG)
