Description

Job Summary
Tampa, FL Physical Therapist (Outpatient). The outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction. The role also includes maintaining accurate clinical documentation, supporting professional development, and working to ensure safe, quality patient care in alignment with applicable regulatory and professional standards. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: M-F days; 8 shift hours; minimum 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school; CPR Certification; active/applicable license for the state where work will be performed
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience
  • Additional Information:
    • Conducts comprehensive patient evaluations and uses clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals focused on progression toward discharge within an established length of stay
    • Completes medical record documentation, including goal writing and other required clinical documentation, in accordance with approved formats and applicable guidelines
    • Ensures care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval when indicated and necessary for clinical care
    • Participates in student programming as assigned, including providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
    • Creates and maintains an individualized professional development plan, including ongoing professional growth through continuing education and professional activities
    • Adheres to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and other regulatory agencies, maintaining professional licensure in good standing and completing required continuing education
    • Supports performance improvement initiatives by following action plans and providing feedback through appropriate team processes
    • Models ethical practice aligned with discipline-specific professional codes of conduct
