Description

Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo specializing in echocardiography in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This full-time position involves performing diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate documentation. The role requires collaboration with cardiologists and other hospital departments to support patient care and departmental operations.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Two-year allied health education program related to patient care; Certifications/Licenses: A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible or comparable national accreditation required; State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License; BLS certification issued through American Heart Association; Skills: Effective communication, strong organizational skills, ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, manual dexterity for echocardiography; Experience: Two years actively performing echocardiograms preferred;

  • Additional Information: Performs technically proficient 2D, M-mode and Doppler cardiac exams. Coordinates exam scheduling, transport, and billing. Assists cardiologists with dictations and procedures, maintains equipment quality, and participates in performance improvement efforts. Handles on-call emergency exams as needed and ensures a clean, well-stocked environment.
