Physical Therapist (PT) Inpatient Rehabilitation (Richmond, VA)
A Physical Therapist specializing in Inpatient Rehabilitation is needed to provide therapy services within an inpatient rehab setting. The role supports neuro-focused rehabilitation through manual therapy for neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activities, self-care training, and functional electrical stimulation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: MonFri with 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM5:00 PM; weekends rotate; minimum 40.0 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- License/certification: Physical Therapist licensure (license must be brought on the first day)
- Education: Not specified

- Experience: Hospital experience is required, and inpatient rehab experience is preferred
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Stroke evaluation and treatment
- Responsibilities:
- Deliver manual therapy for neuro re-education
- Provide therapeutic exercise and neuromuscular re-education
- Support functional activity and self-care training
- Utilize functional electrical stimulation
- Use Meditech Expanse for documentation
- Follow inpatient unit communication practices, including AIDET communication and immediate service recovery
- Float as needed: may float to an acute hospital if rehab census is low
- Additional Information:
- Unit operates with multiple OT/PT teams and includes speech therapy support
- Equipment includes Sara Lifts, ceiling lifts, and systems such as Bioness and Diego
- Dress code preference: black scrub bottoms and royal blue top
