Description
Mammography Radiologic Technologist (Mammographer) Brooklyn, New York
The organization is seeking a Mammography Radiologic Technologist to perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography and support accurate image acquisition and documentation. The role includes demonstrating competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factor, as well as ensuring images are appropriately labeled, evaluated for technical acceptability, and transmitted in a timely manner. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days (8:00A - 5:00P), 7.5 shift hours, minimum 37.5 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: New York State License of Diagnostic Radiography; registration with ARRT; maintain MQSA requirements; proficiency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factor; ability to accurately record required patient tracking information into the organizations tracking system
- Preferred Qualifications: Mammography Radiologic Technologist experience as a mammography technologist
- Responsibilities: Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography; ensure radiographic images are appropriately labeled as specified by the department Standard Operating Procedure; evaluate images for technical acceptability and ensure images are transmitted to PACS in a timely fashion; ensure studies performed are completed in IDX; accurately record required patient tracking information into the organizations tracking system
