Description
Job Summary: CT Technologist (Nights) Tulsa, Oklahoma
The CT Technologist operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional diagnostic images of patients bodies. This role performs CT examinations according to department policies and protocols, including screening, preparing, positioning, and ensuring image quality and completeness. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 shift hours, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R); completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program; Basic Life Support (BLS); knowledge of anatomy and physiology; ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner; zero (0) to six (6) months of related experience

- Additional Information: Responsibilities include screening, preparing, and positioning patients for CT procedures; evaluating CT studies for quality and completeness; using advanced image manipulation tools such as 3D rendering, reformation, and reconstruction; understanding image display and filming options; recognizing and correcting CT imaging and filming problems; sending images to the PACS system and verifying completeness in a timely manner; administering contrast media as directed by a Radiologist; maintaining radiation safety for patients, staff, and family members; responding to patient physical and psychological needs and keeping patients informed; maintaining a clean and appropriately supplied work area; maintaining accurate documentation on logbook worksheets and charging of examinations and supplies; and making independent judgments in planning the sequence of operations in a complex technical field.
