Description

Job Summary
X-Ray Technologist (XRAY) Brooklyn, NY. The X-Ray Technologist operates or oversees radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body. Responsibilities include preparing patients for radiological procedures, positioning patients, processing and reviewing radiographs for quality, and following safety and infection control practices. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Day shift; 7.5 hours per shift; minimum 37.5 hours per week.
  • Start Date: 07/20/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of a JCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology; New York State License (L.R.T); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified); competency in performing diagnostic procedures; excellent communication skills in a team environment; quality focus, planning, dependability; ability to create a safe, effective environment.

  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include preparing patients for radiological procedures; minimizing radiation to patients and staff using radiation protection techniques, beam restrictive devices, and patient shielding; adhering to infection control policies; maintaining production and quality of radiographs; charting patient care services in patient and department records (including completion and verification of exams); ensuring safe operation of radiology equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment inventories; maintaining radiology supplies inventory; maintaining a safe and clean working environment; and completing yearly age-specific competency requirements.
