Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (CCL TECH) Austell, Georgia
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist role supports cardiovascular cath lab and electrophysiology-related procedures within a healthcare setting. The position requires proficiency in patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection, along with the ability to react quickly during urgent patient care situations. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week. On-call may be required per 4 weeks, Friday through Sunday.

Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (or American Heart Association (AHA) equivalency, American Red Cross Advanced Life Support (ARC-ALS)); Basic Life Support (BLS) (or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC-BLS)); Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor (BLS-I) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Instructor (ACLS-I) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provisional (180 Days) (ACLS-P) within 180 days of hire (as applicable); at least 1 year of work experience in a medical setting; one year of relevant experience with an associate degree or higher; and either (1) the same minimum experience in a medical setting with an associate degree or higher or (2) one year of specific experience in a medical setting (for example, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Respiratory Therapist (RT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/Paramedic) with a high school diploma.

Preferred Qualifications: Basic knowledge of electrocardiography, coronary heart disease, cardiac anatomy and physiology with electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation.

Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of cardiovascular catheterization (cath) or electrophysiology procedures.
- Apply proper patient positioning and maintain awareness of exposure factors and radiation protection.
- Support procedures by following required special/advanced procedure registry requirements as outlined for the role.
- Apply basic knowledge of hemodynamics, intracardiac electrograms, and electrophysiology equipment.
- React quickly to emergency patient care situations.
- Maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, patients, families, and physicians.
- Communicate and understand verbal and written English, with a positive attitude.
