Job Summary: Radiologic Technologist (Xray Technologist) Glendale, Arizona
The radiologic technologist performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with departmental and facility policies, procedures, and protocols to support optimal patient care. The role focuses on producing high-quality diagnostic images, maintaining accurate documentation, and performing equipment quality control as needed. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift; 8 hours per shift; 40.0 minimum hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program; national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; state licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1 year of experience; effective communication skills; human relations skills; ability to analyze data and solve problems.
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional related education and/or experience.
- Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines using independent judgment and established policy and procedures.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures or treatment, including associated risk factors and prevention.
- Produce high-quality images, present them with pertinent patient information for timely interpretation, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Demonstrate competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies.
- Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements; troubleshoot equipment as needed and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors and adhere to safety policies.
- Fulfill ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice, including maintaining confidentiality of work information.
- Support efficient departmental workflow by performing other duties as assigned, and monitor supplies and materials to help prevent service interruption.
- Perform radiographic procedures independently in accordance with departmental and facility policies, regulatory/accreditation requirements, and applicable professional standards.
