Occupational Therapist Outpatient (OT OP) Monterey, California
Occupational Therapist Outpatient opportunities are available in an outpatient Perioperative Clinic unit setting with a focus on pre-procedure testing activities and a fast-paced care environment. The role includes conducting comprehensive history and physical assessments with an anesthesia focus, supporting thorough medication reconciliation, and working collaboratively with nursing staff. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 8 hour shifts; MWF 07:3016:00 and TuTh 09:3018:00 with a 30-minute lunch; minimum 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Active license; Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA); BLS certification; minimum 2 year(s) of relevant experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
  • Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive history and physical assessment for patients undergoing elective surgery with an anesthesia focus (including functional status, cardiac, and respiratory components); complete comprehensive medication reconciliation; work in a fast-paced environment alongside a registered nurse and nurse aide; provide outpatient support for adult patient populations including total joint replacements, complex spines, urology, gynecology, and general surgery; work under the anesthesiologist in the Perioperative Clinic (pre-procedure testing)
  • Additional Information: Outpatient setting; nicotine-free facility (included in drug screen); ability to work independently right away; charting system uses EPIC; client cancellation policy allows call-off up to the equivalent of 36 hours during a 13-week assignment with no penalty
