Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) located in Savannah, Georgia. This role involves managing vented patients, setting up heliox therapy, and performing advanced neonatal and pediatric respiratory procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Savannah, GA
  • Schedule: Nights (7PM to 7AM), 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Certifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Required Qualifications: Valid respiratory therapist license; 1+ year of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) critical care experience; Basic Life Support (BLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience; Georgia state licensed or eligible to license in Georgia
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with vent management using Servo U ventilator; proficiency in heliox therapy, non-invasive ventilation including biPAP and CPAP; neonatal skills such as Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), nitric oxide use, and high-frequency ventilation; experience with invasive and non-invasive respiratory procedures
  • Additional Information: Must be capable of independently admitting and managing ventilated neonatal and pediatric patients; familiar with setup and management of heliox therapy; able to perform neonatal procedures including Bubble CPAP, nitric oxide, and high-frequency ventilation; unit utilizes Servo U & Drger VN500 ventilators, F&P Bubble CPAP, HFOV, HFJV, Vaportherm, and heliox therapy; documentation in Epic and adherence to unit policies and guidelines
