Job Summary
Interventional Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) role located in Provo, Utah. This position involves preparing patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring accurate identification and order verification, and operating imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role offers a schedule of four 10-hour daytime shifts per week, with on-call responsibilities.
Job Details
- Location: Provo, UT
- Schedule: 10-hour days with on-call requirements; four shifts per week, days may vary; minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: HS diploma or GED; Utah State Rad Tech License (REQUIRE); ARRT registration; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers; Vascular/Interventional radiography certification, or one year of Angio/Interventional experience; one (1) year of vascular or interventional experience
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS or PALS certification
- Additional Information: The position involves tasks such as patient identification, order verification, body mechanics, exam techniques, image production and storage, equipment operation, documentation, patient transportation, knowledge of invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies, x-ray generation and safety, patient education, procedural assistance as circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech, and radiation monitoring. The role requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift and move patients, and navigate busy clinical environments.
