Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (Registered) position in San Luis Obispo, California. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care services to adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on critical care and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) experience. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers a rotating night shift, and the start date is scheduled for 07/20/2026.

Job Details:

Location: San Luis Obispo, California
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, rotating schedule
Required Qualifications: Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program; Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) credential or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential; Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license; Basic Life Support (BLS or HS-BLS or RQIBLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS or HS-ACLS or RQIACLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS or HS-PALS or RQIPALS) certification; 5 years of critical care experience, including 2-3 years in NICU with neonatal intubation experience; location requirements include California.

Float: No, float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: The role involves assessing and documenting therapy appropriateness, administering aerosol and oxygen therapy, drawing arterial blood gases, caring for ventilator patients, performing drainage procedures, and assisting in neonatal transports when needed.
