Description
Job Summary:
The position of CT (Computed Tomography) and X-ray Technologist is based in a radiology department within a healthcare facility located in Papillion, Nebraska. This role involves performing portable and general imaging studies, including stroke assessments, CT scans, and X-rays. Candidates are expected to be capable of working independently during night shifts and must bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Shift: Monday through Thursday from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with no weekends or call required
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association (AHA), Certified CT Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT - CT)
- Education/Experience: Valid driver's license required at submission; minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist; willingness to wait for license submission; additional experience requirements are not specified.
- Required Qualifications: ARRT (CT), BLS certification, Nebraska license or willing to wait for license, 2 years of medical imaging experience, ability to work independently, familiarity with EPIC, Merge, McKesson, and RealRads systems, and experience with Siemens CT and X-ray equipment.
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, totaling approximately 40 hours per week.
- Department Specifics: Most duties include nightly QC checks, code cart inspection, and other radiology responsibilities. Artificial nails are prohibited due to hospital policy.
- Additional Information: Scrubs are not provided, and orientation will be conducted with the lead or overnight technician. The facility retains the right to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts if less than 13 weeks; holiday work may be required during Christmas.
- Location: Papillion, Nebraska. Candidates must have a driver's license, which will be used to verify if the applicant is outside the 50-mile radius rule.
