Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position available in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role involves providing specialized respiratory care to patients across various units within the hospital, including NICU. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires a minimum of 36 hours per week, with a rotating shift schedule.

• Required Qualifications:
  • 24 months of current Respiratory Therapist/RT (Respiratory Therapy) experience in a hospital setting
  • 36 months of current work history/resume/employment history in Respiratory Therapy
  • Valid Iowa Respiratory license (highly preferred, will accept licensing candidates with a quick turnaround)
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • EPIC electronic medical record experience required
  • Equipment experience with jet ventilator, Drager Ventilator, Oscillator Ventilator required
  • NICU experience within last 18 months
  • Level III NICU experience within last 15 months
  • Ability and willingness to float across different units throughout the hospital
  • Valid drivers license required
  • Professional references from within the past 24 months from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, COO preferred
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
  • NICU experience within the last 18 months and Level III NICU experience within last 15 months
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, typically 36 hours per week
• Additional Information:
  • Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day work required unless the unit is closed
