Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (OT) working in an inpatient rehabilitation unit located in Jacksonville, Florida. This position involves providing specialized therapy to adult patients recovering from injuries or illnesses that impact their physical and neurological functions. The role is structured on a day shift schedule, with a focus on delivering individualized rehabilitation interventions to promote patient recovery and improve quality of life.

Job Details:

  • Location: Jacksonville, Florida
  • Shift: Day shift; 7:30 AM 4:30 PM
  • Schedule: Altered work week, Sunday through Thursday
  • Weekly Hours: 40 hours
  • Required Qualifications: Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy; 1 year of experience; certification in occupational therapy; the candidate must be licensed to practice in Florida.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in acute, subacute, skilled nursing facility, or inpatient rehabilitation settings; proficiency in functional interventions; familiarity with group and concurrent therapy modes; strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Equipment and Resources: On-site Smart Car, In-Motion Arm Bionik, Saebo, dedicated transfer rooms, outdoor functional courtyard, EKSO (available in September), 2nd floor traumatic brain injury gym.
  • Additional Information: No call required; first reporting time is 8:00 AM; scrubs should be olive green.
  • Patient Population: Adult patients with neurological, orthopedic, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other complex conditions.
