Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (Inpatient) in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves evaluating, planning, and supervising occupational therapy treatments in accordance with physician referrals, departmental policies, and regulatory standards. The position requires delivering patient-centered care tailored to various age groups, communicating effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, and ensuring documentation compliance.
Job Details:
- Location: 1625 N Campbell Ave, Tucson, AZ 85719
- Shift Hours: 8 hours per day
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
- Start Date: 08/03/2026
- Required Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an educational program in occupational therapy approved by the appropriate governing board
- Current Occupational Therapy license from the state of practice
- BLS certification required
- Ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone
- Proficiency with computer software applications used in automated patient care environments
- Must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain it during employment
- Additional Information:
- Employees must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain it for the duration of employment
- Does not allow for religious exemptions for COVID-19 vaccination at Banner
- Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients functional abilities and limitations, establish care plans, and set treatment goals in collaboration with patients and families
- Implement individualized treatment techniques considering the patients physical, social, spiritual, and cultural needs
- Monitor and modify treatment plans based on ongoing assessment of patient progress
- Document all treatment activities according to departmental and regulatory standards
- Communicate evaluation and progress reports clearly and promptly to physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in training, orientation, and supervision of new personnel as needed
- Contribute to department process improvements and meet productivity standards
- Support all healthcare staff and interact professionally with external contacts involved in patient care
