Description
Job Summary:
The CT (Computed Tomography) Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures in a busy healthcare environment. The position is located in a healthcare facility in Bellingham, Washington, and involves working in an interdisciplinary team to support patient diagnosis across various age groups, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The role requires flexibility to work a rotating schedule with shifts potentially including days, evenings, and nights.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, variable days, evenings, or nights depending on unit needs, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with a focus on Radiologic Technology (ARRT R), and ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT CT). Education or experience requirements include at least 1 year of CT imaging experience. Valid Washington State license required with an estimated processing time of 6 weeks; license application submission acceptable.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with advanced imaging procedures such as abdominal and chest imaging with contrast, brain perfusion, CTA, and multiplanar reconstruction. Prior EMR experience in community hospital settings is preferred.
- Additional Information: The position involves handling complex procedures utilizing Siemens and GE equipment, including PACS, and requires adherence to radiation safety standards. A daily census of 220 patients is expected, with support from multidisciplinary teams including respiratory services, interpretation services, and radiology.
