Description

Job Summary:
This is a position for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist located in Rome, Georgia. The role involves performing various nuclear medicine scans and assessments in a Level 2 Trauma Designation teaching hospital. The technologist will work independently as needed, utilizing Siemens CKM and Siemens Symbia S equipment, with a focus on adult patient care, including cardiac stress tests, GI bleeds, and other specialized imaging procedures.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift, with a schedule cycle as specified in the requisition.
  • Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS); ARRT or NMTCB certification; minimum of 2 years of nuclear medicine experience; no state license required; experience with Siemens CKM and Siemens Symbia S; competent in performing cardiac stress rest tests, HIDA scans, GI bleeds, lung perfusions (VQ scans), and starting IVs; comfortable working solo during shifts.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Siemens Prospecta equipment.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The candidate will be working with a team during weekdays and weekends, supporting cardiac cases and other procedures. Orientation includes four shifts in the department, with support from lead tech management and department support staff. The facility provides free parking, and the scrub color is black. The unit fosters a collaborative culture and requires on-call availability for late shifts and some holidays.
