Job Summary:
The healthcare provider is seeking a Radiological Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This role involves performing MRI scans, administering contrast agents, verifying patient identification, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic images. The position requires a commitment to patient safety, protocol adherence, and collaborative team support.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Thursday 7:00 a.m. 7:30 p.m., Friday 7:00 a.m. 7:30 p.m., Saturday 7:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m., Sunday 7:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m., with 10 hours shifts and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science; registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible (must provide diploma); advanced certification in MRI within one year of employment; current competency in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Preferred Qualifications: N/A.
• Additional Information: Performs patient identification and history verification, operates MRI scanners, administers oral and IV contrast according to protocols, maintains proficiency with PACS, and ensures proper image transmission and documentation. Responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues, precepting new staff and students, and maintaining a clean work environment. Tasks are performed in a timely manner following departmental procedures.
