Description
Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Clinical (Interventional Radiology CL) technologist role is based in Provo, Utah. This position involves preparing patients for angiography or other interventional procedures, ensuring proper identification and documentation, operating imaging equipment, and providing patient care and education throughout the procedure. The technologist will perform complex vascular and interventional procedures, supporting clinical teams within a busy healthcare facility.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour days with on-call responsibilities; four days per week; work hours may vary.
- Required Qualifications: HS diploma or GED; ARRT registration; State of Utah Rad Tech License; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Vascular/Interventional radiography certification or one year of Angio/Interventional experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS or PALS certification.
- Experience: Minimum of zero years of experience required, with a focus on vascular or interventional procedures.
- Additional Information:
- Ensure correct patient identification and order verification.
- Prepare patients using appropriate body mechanics.
- Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Complete documentation accurately, including time stamping and image storage.
- Support clinical staff by transporting patients and maintaining supplies.
- Develop knowledge of invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies and techniques.
- Assist at the end of procedures with sheath removal or pressure application.
- Provide patient education to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Use proper x-ray generation practices and safety protocols.
- Provide procedural assistance as circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech, following scope of practice policies.
