Description
Job Summary:
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Pediatrics in Alamoogordo, New Mexico. This full-time position involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, hearing, and oral motor disorders. The role requires developing and implementing therapeutic techniques, recording speech samples, conducting phonetic analyses, and documenting test results to support patient rehabilitation.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited school; valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure; American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification or eligibility; BLS (AHA) certification; 0 years of experience, although experience is preferred.
- Responsibilities: Assist in directing, supervising, and evaluating support staff, volunteers, and students; interpret and carry out physician prescriptions; communicate with patients regarding progress and home programs; uphold confidentiality and safety standards; perform diverse duties as assigned.
- Additional Information: New graduates are accepted for this position; supervised clinical fellowship year (CFY) may be arranged; position is located at a health care facility in Alamoogordo, NM; start date is July 27, 2026.
