Job Summary:
Pathology Assistant position located in Edison, New Jersey. This role involves supporting the pathologist with surgical specimen processing, gross description, tissue preparation, and related duties in an anatomic pathology setting. The position requires adherence to laboratory standards and involves assisting with intraoperative consultations, specimen photography, and equipment maintenance.

Job Details:

• Includes a minimum of 10 years of experience in pathology or related biological discipline.
• Required: Bachelor's degree from a NAACLS accredited institution as a pathologists assistant with didactic and clinical training in anatomic pathology, specifically surgical and autopsy pathology; Bachelors degree must be in Health Sciences or other biological discipline.
• Required: ASCP certification as an on-the-job trained Pathologists Assistant in a hospital laboratory performing technical duties related to anatomic pathology, with documented competencies in processing specimens.
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, starting on 08/10/2026. The position is scheduled for evenings as needed, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.
• The role involves lifting a minimum of 30 lbs., standing for at least 5 hours daily, and performing various specimen processing and classroom support tasks as directed.
• Must be professional, proactive, and proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace platforms.
• The candidate must be adaptable to work evening hours as required.
