Description
Job Summary:
Radiologic Technologist specializing in computed tomography (CT) located in Portland, OR. This role involves operating advanced imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images used for diagnosing medical conditions. The position requires performing additional imaging procedures such as general radiography and fluoroscopy, supporting comprehensive patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift with a start time of 10:00 AM, working Wednesday through Friday (3x12-hour shifts), minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associates degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred), licensed or registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT)), ARRT-Computed Tomography certification (required), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (required), Venipuncture certification (preferred in CA and OR).
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Certification in the modality of CT (required in Oregon and Hawaii, preferred in California).
- Additional Information: The technologist assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care for a diverse age range, from adolescents to geriatrics. Ensures the accurate transfer of imaging data using Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and teleradiology platforms while maintaining patient confidentiality according to HIPAA. Performs routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment and manages supply inventory. All required vaccinations must be completed as a condition of employment.
