Job Summary:
Inpatient Pharmacist Alturas, California. This position involves providing inpatient pharmacy services within a healthcare facility, including medication procurement, storage, distribution, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The role requires recent inpatient experience and serves as the Pharmacist in Charge, supporting the facility's medication safety, quality assurance, and operational efficiency.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift hours, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Inpatient pharmacy experience within the last 3 years, pharmacy license in good standing, and a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Preferences: Previous experience serving as Pharmacist in Charge or with hospital pharmacy operations is preferred.
- Additional Information:
- Responsible for reviewing inpatient medication orders for appropriateness and safety.
- Maintain pharmaceutical inventory, including pharmaceuticals, specialty boxes, and crash carts across the facility.
- Ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations related to pharmaceutical services.
- Maintain documentation for procurement, dispensing, and disposal of pharmaceuticals, including scheduled substances.
- Provide pharmacy coverage on weekends for emergency medication dispensing and serve as the on-call pharmacist after hours during scheduled shifts.
