Description
Job Summary:
A CT Technologist position is available in a healthcare facility located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This role involves performing computerized tomography (CT) scans in accordance with established procedures. The candidate will review exams for clinical appropriateness, prioritize exams effectively, and communicate critical situations clearly. Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures is essential for this position.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: HS Diploma or GED. BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute. Primary ARRT certification and NM State License. ARRT (CT) certification is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic experience is preferred.
- Additional Information: Floating between departments and/or local facilities within 20 miles is required as per facility fixed notes. The role involves performing computerized tomographic radiographs, reviewing exams, prioritizing urgent cases, and demonstrating effective communication of critical situations. The supply of a dose badge is mandatory for monitoring radiation exposure, with quarterly evaluation of dosimeters like Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) or Thermoluminescent Dosimeters (TLD).
