Job Summary:
This position is for a CT Technologist working in a healthcare facility located in Wrangell, Alaska. The role involves performing diagnostic computed tomography examinations and supporting various imaging modalities. The candidate must be able to work rotating shifts, provide high-quality patient care, and demonstrate proficiency in equipment operation, patient positioning, and safety protocols. Strong clinical skills and flexibility to work outside of the primary modality are essential.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current ARRT certification in Radiography or current ARDMS certification in Abdomen or OB/GYN; BLS certification required within 45 days of start; clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years; able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality; at least 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: ARRT certification in CT, MR, Mammography, or Nuclear Medicine; ARDMS certified in two modalities or categories (e.g., OB/GYN, Abdomen).
• Additional Information: The CT Technologist must have CT experience and be willing to learn other imaging modalities such as ultrasound, MRI, or mammography. Responsibilities include equipment care, assisting with invasive procedures, maintaining records, and supporting the departments quality assurance program. The role requires availability for call, maintaining competency in ancillary modalities, and working in a dynamic environment with diverse patient populations.
