Description
Job Summary:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist position in Bozeman, Montana. This role involves performing general nuclear medicine examinations, including on call services, therapeutic procedures, and PET/CT patient exams in a hospital-based, acute care environment. The position requires a qualified professional capable of maintaining high standards of patient care and adhering to safety regulations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift hours with 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited program or equivalent. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in nuclear medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB). American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year post-graduate work experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Additional Information: Performs nuclear medicine quality control measures, patient exams, and procedures as requested by the medical staff. Assists radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures. Completes documentation for proper interpretation, reporting, archival, and retrieval of exams. Verifies orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of exams and procedures. Participates in hospital quality improvement initiatives. Manages the administration, receipt/return, decay, and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with state and federal regulations. Requires dependable attendance, with potential for working beyond a standard 40-hour week, including weekends and after-hours. On-call work may be necessary.
