Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Indianapolis, IN provides specialized respiratory care for neonatal patients in a Level 4 NICU setting. The role involves evaluating patients with respiratory insufficiencies, developing and implementing care plans, and performing advanced respiratory care modalities to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer; Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee or Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire or transfer.
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA); Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation; Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
- Unit Description: Neonatal Respiratory Care, Level 4 NICU, 109 neonatal intensive care beds.
- Equipment: Servo U, Bunnell Jet Ventilator, 3100A Oscillator, Bubble CPAP, Optiflow.
- EMR: Sunrise Clinical Manager.
- Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue.
- Responsibilities include assessment, plan development, patient education, emergency response, and equipment management related to neonatal respiratory care.
