Description

Job Summary:
Polysomnographer position in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves independently performing diagnostic sleep monitoring studies, including home sleep tests, to assist clinicians with patient diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. The position acts as a resource within the department to ensure quality sleep studies and support optimal patient care.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights
  • Schedule: 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Start Date: 08/01/2026
  • Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; Registry by the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists or proof of passing the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); clinical knowledge typically gained with 3 years of experience in sleep disorders testing; proficiency with sleep testing equipment and understanding of sleep/wake cycle and associated pathologies; effective critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Additional related education and/or experience.
  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include obtaining artifact-free sleep tracings, analyzing sleep records, troubleshooting minor issues, reviewing medical histories, assisting with department policies, and participating in quality assurance standards. This role may involve assisting in staff training and conducting educational in-services.
