Job Summary
The healthcare provider is seeking an Ultrasonographer Echo in the Oakland, California area. This position involves performing echocardiography procedures, including 2-D M-mode, cardiac Doppler, exercise echo, and transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE). The role requires providing clinical support in a fast-paced environment while ensuring quality patient care.

Job Details

  • Shift Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography (RDCS or RCS), Basic Life Support (BLS); no minimum experience requirement listed, candidate should be adaptable to clinical settings
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with bedside, ICU, or emergency department cardiac ultrasound procedures; familiarity with Philips ultrasound machines; previous experience performing contrast studies and bubble studies
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • On Call: No on-call duties required
  • Additional Responsibilities: Performing clerical duties, entering charges for services, and preparing reports; assisting in preparation of contrast studies; providing after-hour and weekend coverage on a rotational basis
  • Certifications Required: ARDMS RDCS or RCS, BLS, and any applicable certifications with valid expiration dates
  • Skills: 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Diastology, Imaging with Contrast Agents, Isolation Precautions/PPE, LV Strain/LV Volume, M-Mode, Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Procedures on patients in ICU/ED settings, Routine Imaging, and other specialized echocardiography procedures.
  • Travel Experience: Not required
  • Experience: At least 2 years of clinical echocardiography experience preferred, with a focus on adult patient care
