Description
Job Summary:
This position is for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Towson, Maryland. The role involves performing specialized nuclear medicine procedures, including nuclear stress tests, Hida scans, VQ scans, biliary studies, lymph injections, and amyloid studies. The technologist will operate GE equipment and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout their shift. The assignment is scheduled to begin on August 3, 2026, for a duration of 13 weeks.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Nuclear Medicine Technologist (N) and Radiologic Technologist (R) certifications, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) certification, and an active State license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with nuclear stress tests, Hida scans, VQ scans, and other specialized procedures; familiarity with GE imaging equipment and SPEC CT G850; prior experience in a hospital or hospital-like environment.
- Float: Floating within the specialty and other units may be required within scope.
- Additional Information: The role entails managing high scan loads, maintaining safety protocols, operating specific imaging equipment, and supporting multidisciplinary teams in delivering accurate nuclear medicine services. Candidates should be prepared to work holidays as scheduled and participate in weekend on-call rotations. Compliance with certification and licensing requirements is mandatory for onboarding.
