Description

Job Summary:
Radiology/Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist working in a healthcare facility located in Kansas City, Missouri. This role involves providing high-risk obstetric ultrasound examinations and fetal assessments within a Maternal Fetal Medicine department. The position emphasizes expertise in detailed anatomical ultrasonography, Doppler studies, and managing high-risk pregnancies in an outpatient setting.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support), ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography), and ARDMS OB/GYN. Education or experience requirements include a minimum of 1 year of high-risk OB ultrasound experience, performing detailed anatomic exams, and Doppler studies, with proficiency in transvaginal and transabdominal imaging within a Maternal-Fetal Medicine department.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of high-risk OB ultrasound experience, including performing fetal anatomical surveys, umbilical artery, and middle cerebral artery Dopplers, as well as experience with multiple gestation and cervical length assessments.
  • Additional Information: The role involves working with advanced ultrasound equipment (GE Voluson E10 and Expert 22), ViewPoint reporting, and Epic charting system. Must be comfortable working in a high-risk outpatient clinical environment with high patient volume and complex cases. Floating within scope between departments and units may be required. The position includes adhering to safety protocols including PPE and isolation precautions.
  • Special Requirements: Experience with high-risk OB/GYN patients, detailed anatomic ultrasounds, and Doppler studies is mandatory. Experience with GE ultrasound machines and Epic reporting is required. The clinician must be able to work effectively within a busy outpatient clinic serving high-risk pregnancies.
