Description
Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist in Riverdale, Georgia. This role involves assisting with procedures and providing diagnostic support by conducting organ or body scans on patients. The technologist will prepare and position patients, select appropriate anatomic and technical parameters, administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice, monitor protocols, and ensure compliance with radiation safety procedures. The position requires performing specialized imaging procedures including vascular and interventional procedures and assisting radiologists or physician assistants.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: High School diploma equivalency with 1-2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience; BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; Cardiographic Technician credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date; Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date; Illinois Emergency Management Agency radiologic technologist licensure required in combination with ARRT credentialing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Additional Information: Assist with all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular, and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist or Physician Assistant. Ensure all activities meet regulatory agency standards.
