Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist, Registered specialty in the respiratory care field is based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program; current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC); at least two (2) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist; ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and technical procedures; excellent documentation skills; effective communication skills with patients, physicians, and staff; proficiency in mathematical concepts such as ratios and percentages; strong reasoning skills; and the ability to interpret technical, clinical, and procedural situations.

• Additional Information: Candidates must have at least 2 years of hospital experience working with NICU and PICU patient populations. The role involves respiratory procedures such as airway management, ventilator care, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, Pulmonary Function Testing, tracheostomy care, endotracheal intubations, and ECMO management. The position may require being on-call during nights, weekends, and holidays to provide continuous patient support.
