Description
Job Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist position is located in Nashua, New Hampshire. This role involves supporting and promoting the mission and values of the healthcare organization by performing radiologic procedures within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Special Procedures Laboratory. The technologist will be responsible for scrubaling in procedures, evaluating images, and assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current NH ARRT license, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, completion of a certificate or degree course in radiologic technology, a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience, able to take call, and capable of supporting competencies such as Balloon Pump and Impella.
- Experience in scrubbing and running X-ray equipment for Cardiac Cath Lab and Special Procedures procedures, including panning heart catheters and evaluating diagnostic images.
- Ability to prepare procedural areas, set up patients and equipment, scrub in and assist physicians, and maintain equipment and supplies.
- Demonstrates judgment in providing patient and procedural information, with an emphasis on patient safety and comfort.
- Flexibility to rotate among various shifts or departments to meet patient care needs.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with special procedures radiography and knowledge of departmental protocols.
- Additional Information: Up to 16 hours of orientation may be unpaid. St. Joseph reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts within a 13-week contract.
