Description
Job Summary:
The Nebraska-based healthcare organization is seeking a qualified CT Technologist to join their team for a night shift position. This role involves performing quality computed tomography (CT) scans across multiple locations, utilizing advanced GE equipment. The position offers a 6-week orientation period and requires effective communication skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to work within a fast-paced, trauma-level one acute care setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active State of Nebraska Medical Radiographer License; ARRT (CT) (R) certification; BLS (AHA) certification; proficient with computer systems including email applications; ability to multi-task and communicate effectively; minimum of 1 year(s) of experience in a similar role.
- Preferred Qualifications: Level I trauma experience; GE equipment experience; previous experience working in a trauma center setting; experience with GE equipment including multiple CT scanners (8 total with various slice configurations).
- Additional Information:
- The role involves performing procedures such as neuro, body, MSK, CTA, IR procedures (biopsies, ablations, drain removals), colonography, enterography, urograms, trauma scans, and dual energy studies.
- Equipment utilized includes GE scanners across several campuses, EPIC electronic medical records, and Mckesson PACS.
- The position requires floating within the department but stays within the same management structure.
- A 6-week orientation program includes education on department protocols, IV line procedures, and department-specific processes, with a midpoint check at 3 weeks.
- Call-off policy allows the client to call off an equivalent of 36 hours every 13 weeks, and non-billable orientation hours total 12.
- The hospital setting includes 8 CT scanners, and the dress code is red scrubs or a red T-shirt with Nebraska Medicine emblem.
