Description

Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer General in Bethel, Alaska. This position involves performing imaging examinations on patients across all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics, to support the efficient operations of the department and ensure quality patient care. The role requires utilizing specialized training in ultrasound imaging modalities and may include duties such as receptionist or clerk responsibilities as needed.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift; 8 hours per shift, minimum of 32 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of two years of post-graduation experience. Graduate of an accredited Sonography program or equivalent preferred. Current registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in abdomen or obstetrics/gynecology required; multiple specialties preferred. Current BLS certification required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: GE ultrasound experience preferred. Trophon experience preferred.
  • Additional Information: Private housing is not provided; all accommodations are shared units, and pets are not allowed. Airfare is initially paid by the candidate or agency and reimbursed upon arrival. The candidate must provide all credentialing documentation prior to travel, including immunizations, identification, licenses, and background checks. Orientation begins Tuesday and Wednesday, with the candidate's travel arrangements coordinated accordingly. Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccinations is required for all travelers.
