Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in Missoula, Montana. This role involves providing respiratory support to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients within a hospital-wide setting. The therapist will participate in rounds, respond to codes, and manage ventilators independently, contributing to high-quality patient care in a Level III Trauma Center accredited facility.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate's or higher), active Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner license, certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and RRT license. Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred, with NICU experience preferred for assignments in that area.
- Preferred Qualifications: NICU experience (Level III or higher), experience with Drager ventilators and high-frequency oscillators, familiarity with Cerner documentation.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The department utilizes tiered workload assignment based on acuity and device use. Travelers are integrated into the core team, expected to participate in rounds, respond to codes, and manage ventilators independently. Orientation typically lasts 2-3 shifts.
