Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift travel assignment at a regional hospital in Billings, MT.
Details
- Inpatient Respiratory Therapy department at a regional hospital in Billings, MT
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- Charting via Epic EMR
Requirements
- Graduate of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required — must be AHA-issued and valid through assignment start date
- Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience required
- Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures, including arterial blood gas collection, per protocol
- Administers respiratory medications and evaluates patient response, with timely communication to physicians, nurses, and other departments
- Initiates and manages respiratory protocols and interventions based on patient assessment findings
- Provides patient and family education on self-care techniques and health promotion
- Participates in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental meetings
- Acts as a resource, consultant, and mentor to CRT staff and serves on clinical projects as designated by leadership
- Permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
