Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist position in San Luis Obispo, California. This role involves performing routine and specialized radiation treatments and simulation procedures in accordance with established policies and protocols. The position requires independent judgment and clinical skills to deliver safe, precise, and timely patient care, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, California State License, and at least 0 years of experience in radiation therapy or relevant healthcare environment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with community hospital settings, strong patient assessment skills, and familiarity with electronic health records.
- Additional Information: Performs a variety of radiation therapy and simulation procedures for cancer patients, maintains complex radiation therapy equipment, and ensures compliance with safety standards (ALARA). Assists physicians during procedures, educates patients, and maintains documentation accuracy.
