Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a CT Technologist at the Detroit location. This role involves performing computerized tomography (CT) radiological procedures on patients, including preparing patients, operating CT equipment, administering intravenous contrast media, and ensuring high-quality image acquisition. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of supporting diagnostic imaging operations and collaborating with radiologists and healthcare teams.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with flexibility for overnight and block scheduling; minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: BLS - American Heart Association (AHA), ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT), previous general radiography experience, ability to operate CT equipment, high school diploma or G.E.D., and completion of required continuing medical education hours.
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Performs all imaging procedures demonstrating principles of radiation protection, including shielding and ALARA techniques. Assists radiologists in complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies. Ensures image quality and accurate study indexing in radiology and information systems. Maintains a positive team environment with excellent communication and customer service skills. Works in hospital or mobile units, may be exposed to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients. Occasionally lifts and moves equipment or patients exceeding 10 pounds.
