Description
Job Summary:
Pharmacist Inpatient position located in Fort Bragg, California. This role involves verifying and filling medication orders, monitoring patient medication therapies, providing drug information, troubleshooting medication safety hazards, and supervising support personnel. The position offers a dynamic clinical environment focused on ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication management adhering to regulatory standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts; 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of school of pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred, pharmacist license in the state of practice required, BLS certification required, at least 1 year of experience, Epic experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Inpatient clinical pharmacy experience.
- Additional Information: The pharmacist will process, verify, and distribute medication orders timely and in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities include ensuring medication therapies are safe and effective, optimizing prescribing practices, conducting medication utilization reviews, participating in pharmacy-related programs, and assisting with process improvements. The role supports department cost-savings initiatives and collaborates with leadership on medication procurement to maintain safety standards. All associates must comply with vaccination requirements and participate in E-Verify.
