The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) inpatient position in Bishop, California, involves providing outpatient and minimal inpatient therapy services. • Schedule: Days needed: 4 days/week, Shift hours: 0800-1830, Minimum hours per week: 40
• Required Qualifications: Current California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license, Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, Pediatric and adult outpatient experience, Ability to perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) independently, CPR/BLS certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Inpatient/acute care experience, Bilingual (Spanish).
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other units, including acute care areas.
• Additional Information: This position is primarily outpatient (both pediatrics and adults) with very minimal inpatient work. The typical caseload includes approximately 60-70% pediatrics and 30-40% adults, mostly post-stroke or neuro diagnoses. Expect about one outpatient MBSS per week and occasional inpatient neuro cases.
