Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Hackensack, New Jersey. This role involves performing a range of nuclear medicine procedures, including radiopharmaceutical preparation, equipment calibration, and image evaluation, in accordance with safety and regulatory standards. The position requires delivering patient-centered care while adhering to departmental policies and safety guidelines.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a busy hospital setting; high school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology; valid NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) license; ARRT or NMTCB registry; BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred Qualifications: General Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology experience; PET and CT imaging experience.
  • Additional Information: The role requires proficiency in Phlebotomy, EPIC, and performing Nuclear Medicine and/or PET exams. Candidate must be capable of managing daily clerical duties using systems such as EPIC, Teletracking, and Nuclear Medicine Information System. Responsibilities include patient greeting, safety compliance, image evaluation, and rotating assignments in Cardiology and PET/CT. The position involves working scheduled shifts, including on-call duties, holidays, and weekends as needed per department policy. Flexibility in shift rotation and commitment to safety and quality patient care are essential.
