Job Summary:
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Inpatient Farmington, NM. This position involves delivering speech-language therapy services within an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role focuses on assessing and treating adult patients with communication and swallowing disorders, providing evidence-based care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient recovery.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift; 10 hours per day; minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: NM State Speech Language Pathologist License, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), BLS certification, at least 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, experience with adult rehabilitation, and familiarity with treating dysphagia, aphasia, voice disorders, dysarthria, and cognitive deficits.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS).
• Additional Information: The work involves managing a patient load of approximately 10-14 scheduled patients per day in an adult inpatient rehabilitation setting. The team utilizes Cerner electronic health records, and attendance at mandatory meetings is expected. The work environment requires scrubs or polo/button-up shirts in dark gray or black; no jeans are permitted.
