Description

Job Summary:
A radiology technologist specializing in computed tomography (CT) is needed for a facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. The position involves working in a dual-modality role performing both CT scans and general X-ray procedures within a fast-paced emergency department environment. The selected candidate will provide diagnostic imaging services for ED patients and support various clinical tasks as needed.

Job Details:

  • Position: CT Technologist
  • Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Shift: Days; 8 hours per day
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week minimum, start date October 6, 2026
  • Required Qualifications: ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT, BLS certification, 2 years of recent CT or radiologic technology experience, valid drivers license, eligible to work in North Carolina, previous experience with CT scanners and general X-ray procedures, familiarity with performing outside US imaging skills (vitals, sitter, EKG, etc.)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with dual-modality DX/CT roles, trained on-site for US exams, ability and willingness to assist with patient rooming, vitals, lines, labs, and psych patient sitters.
  • Responsibilities: Operate GE Revolution Evo CT scanner, Siemens GoTop CT scanner, and Shimadzu RadSpeed X-ray systems; perform CT and general X-ray imaging, including portables; support department through patient care tasks when not performing radiology; assist with US exams as needed; maintain departmental documentation and compliance.
  • Patient Types: Emergency Department patients only.
  • Equipment & Technology: EPIC EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, Philips iSite PACS, Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors, Shimadzu MX8 portable X-ray, Shimadzu RadSpeed X-ray, Providence CT scanner, Ballantyne CT scanner.
  • Orientation: 1 day administrative onboarding, followed by 2 days to 1 week departmental training as needed.
  • Additional Notes: Scrub color is black; parking available on surface lot at no cost.
