Job Summary:
Inpatient Pharmacist role in Mount Vernon, NY. This position involves ensuring the safe, accurate, and appropriate use of medications within an acute care setting. The pharmacist will evaluate prescriber orders, perform pharmacokinetic monitoring, and provide medication counseling to patients and their families, contributing to the hospitals mission of delivering quality care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years experience as a pharmacist in a hospital pharmacy setting, pharmacist license required; BLS Certification; PGY 1 or PGY 2 residency preferred; experience with CADD pump programming; familiarity with Pyxis functions; experience with medication safety reporting systems; ability to retrieve policy and procedures from intranet; proficiency with electronic drug information resources (Up-to-Date, Neofax).
• Preferred Qualifications: Hospital pharmacy experience preferred; PGY 1 or PGY 2 residency experience preferred.
• Additional Information: The pharmacist will answer pharmacy-related questions for health professionals, perform medication monitoring, report adverse drug events, and participate in medication education and hospital pharmacy activities.
